We’re excited to introduce Timeline with dependencies and resourcing, giving you a powerful new way to plan and deliver projects with confidence.
With Timeline, you can map out your entire project by setting durations for each task and connecting them with dependencies, so your schedule automatically adjusts when things shift. You can also highlight milestone tasks to make sure key dates and deliverables are always on track.
What makes this even more powerful is that the resource planner now sits right alongside your timeline. This means you can plan the schedule and allocate team members in the same view — helping you spot workload clashes, balance resources, and keep the project moving smoothly without needing to switch screens.
From big-picture milestones to the finer details of resourcing, Timeline brings it all together to give you clarity and control over your projects.
Let’s dive in
You can now view and edit your project timeline at both the company level and the project level.
At the company level, you’ll be able to compare recent projects side by side and get a high-level overview of overall progress.

At the project level within the Project Workspace, setting up your timeline helps you define task durations and project stages with ease. You can either set the duration first and then adjust the exact start and due dates, or go the other way around — whichever feels more natural for your workflow.
When you mark tasks as milestones, they’ll appear on the timeline with a star icon, making it easy to track the critical dates and key stages of your project.

Once your timeline and deadlines are in place, you can begin allocating resources.
You have the flexibility to assign tasks directly to specific team members, or — if you’re not ready to decide — assign them to a role or position instead and confirm the member later.
Assigning by position also provides an estimated project cost, calculated using the average rate of the team members within that role, giving you greater clarity in planning and budgeting.

You can then view your Timeline alongside the Resource Planner, making it easy to refine allocations as the project gets underway.
