Task Budgets for Close Supervision and Guidance
Clarc introduces time budgets for tasks, allowing users to manage their time allocations with greater precision. The inclusion of Non-billable stages simplifies the invoicing process, automatically recognising non-billable time.
Take control of your time and budgets with Clarc's new time budget feature for tasks. Stay organised, efficient, and focused on what matters most.
Add time budgets to Tasks
The next step in our development roadmap has introduced the ability to add time budgets to tasks. This will allow for much more detailed management of your time allocations.
Of course, you can also continue to use only the project stage budgets as we want everyone to manage their projects the best way for them!
Inaddition to this, we've added a new stage type for Non-billable stages. This is especially helpful when it comes time to invoice for your work, as the system will automatically recognise what time cannot be billed.
Budgets on tasks allow for more detailed time management
To add budgets to your tasks, you must first turn the feature on in the admin settings. You'll find the toggle under the Budget Setting tab.
Once toggled on, the Manage Budget function within your project work space will allow you to assign budgets to tasks.
Next, you can distribute your stage budget across your various tasks. You'll be alerted if the amount you aretrying to allocate to your task is higher than your total state budget. Tasks billing type must be the same as the stage billing type except when marking a task as Non-billable.
When entering your next timesheet, you'll see tasks available to select from for new entries, regardless of whether they have budgets assigned to them. Assigning individual budgets and entering time against tasks rather than stages will allow for amuch more granular management level.
Giving you the flexibility to manage your projects and budgets the way you want to.
We hope you'll find these new features useful for managing your budgets! As always, reach out if you have any questions or feedback on improvements or additions you'd like to see within Clarc.
